Over ons

Hello, we are Ben and Laura Meijland and we have been the owners of this beautiful Alkmaar campsite on the Bergerweg since October 1, 2021. With 150 beautiful camper pitches, 70 caravan pitches, 14 tent pitches and 9 tractor cabins. 
We were completely new to this industry, because before that we had a horticultural company in Limmen and we grew tulips and all kinds of other flowers for the auction. 

After having had a business in the flower and vegetable sector for 33 years, it was time for a new challenge. We have made a completely new start here in Alkmaar, together with our two children, now 22 and 24 years old. Our son Remco and our daughter Julia regularly work at the campsite. 

We have already changed and tackled quite a few things, actually too many to mention. It gets better every year and hopefully better for our guests. 

In the meantime, we have acquired a super nice team around us and we can count ourselves lucky with these hard workers. We have permanent reinforcements at the reception with 2 Sandras, Renate and other temporary workers. Lilia and Alex take care of the cleaning 6 days a week, with an external company 1 day. Ben is helped almost every morning by our Joop, who is a jack of all trades.
